Thanks for taking the time to look
at these offers. We'd like to think that we can thin our herd a bit by offering such
sweet deals here this month but since we are including birthing of the current cria
and agisting for 90 days following the next breeding to Genesis, we know that won't
happen soon.
Any of these deals can be combined to create a package.
All the fiber details and ARI certificates
can be seen on AlpacaNation.
All the girls have had a skin biopsy performed by Dr. Norm Evans.
In general,
all the girls have very short
pedigrees and we feel like this gives us an uncluttered basline to build from.
Our rational for each breeding decision:
Cali/Incan
Cali is a tall girl with very fine fleece,
very good density but she lacks a pronounced crimp and the extra lond staple. Incan
is what we call Snowmass stout, great coverage, fine fleece, good staple and very
nice crimp.
A rose/grey male to a fawn female leaves a good chance for a grey cria.
Since we are initially focusing on fineness with a white herdsire, we always felt
like we would sell the resulting cria from this pairing. We expect a fine fleeced
and dense cria and hoped for the stoutness, coverage, and crimp of Incan.
Barbie/Goldsmith
Barbie is a big boned girl with extremely
good conformation. Her fleece is average density, nice staple but suffered from
year 3 blow-out at 35um. Her pedigree is no longer available in the US. She is 1/2 Accoyo. With the breeding to Goldsmith, we expect perfect conformation in the cria
and we hope for fleece qualities that generally come from Goldsmith and the accoyo
pedigree. The cria will be full Peruvian and 3/4 accoyo.
Jubilee/Goldsmith
Jubilee is a big tall lanky girl. Her
fleece is fine, very dense, very long and has a bold crimp. She lacks coverage on
her
lower legs. With the breeding to Goldsmith, we expect a cria with fine, dense
accoyo fleece as these two animals both have nice fleece qualities in every respect.
All we really hope for from Goldsmith is to bring Jubilee's size down a bit in this
cria. The cria will be full Peruvian and 3/4 accoyo.
We will consider financing options as
well while the animals reside at our farm.
